Data Protection Guide for Annotators
This guide provides essential data protection principles for annotators who handle personal data and confidential information while performing tasks for customers. Adhering to these guidelines helps ensure compliance with privacy regulations and protects both the customer’s data and your responsible handling of it.
1. Handle Personal Data with Strict Confidentiality
Treat all customer-provided data as confidential. Never share, store, or use it for any purpose other than completing the assigned task. Do not discuss or disclose any personal information outside our platform (“Platform”).
2. Do Not Download or Store Customer Data Locally
All data processing should be done within the Platform. Do not download or save customer-provided documents, tax records, or other confidential files onto personal devices.
3. Verify File Types and Formats Before Uploading
Be vigilant and cautious when handling files uploaded by customers, as they may pose potential security risks. Always verify the file type, avoid opening suspicious or unexpected files.
4. Secure Your Access Credentials
Never share your account credentials, tokens, or access keys with anyone.
5. Keep Antivirus Protection Enabled
You must keep your antivirus software enabled at all times while working on the Platform. Disabling antivirus protection increases the risk of malware, data breaches, and unauthorized access to sensitive information. Ensure that your antivirus software is up to date and actively scanning for potential threats to maintain a secure environment.
6. Report Any Data Breach or Security Incident Immediately
If you suspect unauthorized access, data leakage, or any security breach, report it to security@toloka.ai immediately. Prompt reporting helps mitigate risks and prevent further exposure.
7. Adhere to the policies and agreements
Familiarize yourself with all applicable policies, including the User Agreement and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), and strictly adhere to their terms. Compliance with these policies is essential to ensure the confidentiality, security, and lawful processing of customer data. Any violation may result in removal from the Platform and potential legal consequences.
8. When in Doubt, Seek Guidance
If you encounter uncertainties regarding handling personal or confidential data, reach out to our support team for guidance. It is better to ask questions than to risk a data privacy or security violation.
